On April 23, 2025, Ms Freya Kaine, Education and Research Counsellor of the Australian Embassy in Viet Nam expressed strong interest in enhancing the Australia–Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, particularly in higher education, research collaboration, and innovation.

HCMUTE shared its ongoing articulation programs in engineering and technology, as well as its ambition to expand in areas such as IC design and fintech. Both sides discussed opportunities for lecturer and student exchange, joint research—especially in climate change and high-tech fields—and collaboration under Vietnam’s Project 89.

HCMUTE looks forward to fostering deeper academic and technological cooperation with Australian partners.
